Opportunity:Â Morgan Foods, Inc. has a full-time Security Guard opportunity within the Human Resources department. This on-site plant security role controls access to the facility, monitors traffic entering and leaving company property, assists employees, visitors, vendors, and truck drivers, and helps protect Morgan Foods' plant, grounds, warehouse, people, and property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a Safety and Security Champion by helping maintain a safe, secure, and controlled entrance to company property.
- Controls access for employees, truck drivers, visitors, vendors, and other authorized individuals entering or leaving company grounds.
- Opens and secures gates as needed and verifies credentials, approved rosters, visitor information, and other required authorization before granting access.
- Issues passes only as authorized by company leadership and established procedures.
- Directs visitors, vendors, and truck drivers to the appropriate areas of the grounds, buildings, or departments.
- Inspects outgoing traffic to help prevent the unauthorized removal of company property, materials, tools, equipment, or products.
- Maintains accurate records of trucks, carriers, visitors, and other applicable traffic entering and leaving the facility.
- Verifies required permits or authorization for tools, materials, or other items removed from company premises.
- Monitors proper use of time clocks for recording employee arrivals and departures.
- Answers and transfers telephone calls when the switchboard or main office is closed.
- Maintains awareness of entrance activity, visitor flow, and traffic movement to support safe and orderly operations.
- Performs light maintenance and housekeeping in assigned guard and gate areas, including mowing, sweeping, and keeping the area clean and presentable.
- Supports special projects or assignments that help resolve ongoing issues or meet departmental goals.
- Follows company policies, safety rules, security procedures, and site-access requirements while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:Â Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands, fingers, and wrists to operate phones, gates, radios, logs, computers, and other assigned equipment. Ability to work around vehicle traffic, gates, entry points, and plant grounds and to lift 50 pounds or more as job duties require.
Environmental Requirements:Â The primary work environment is the gate/security area, with exposure to vehicle traffic, outside weather, varying temperatures, noise, and active plant operations. Work may also be performed in an office or guard station. Required personal protective equipment must be worn based on assigned duties and work areas.
Communication Requirements:Â Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, security procedures, safety rules, access requirements, and company policies. Must communicate professionally with employees, visitors, truck drivers, vendors, supervisors, and company leadership and complete logs and records accurately and on time.
Behavioral & Work Style Expectations:Â Maintains a positive, professional, and respectful interpersonal style while demonstrating reliability, accountability, confidentiality, alertness, sound judgment, and consistent attendance. Must remain observant, follow established procedures, and respond appropriately to changing priorities, traffic flow, visitor needs, and security concerns.
Scheduling & Availability:Â Ability to work the assigned shift and adjust the schedule as needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, to maintain plant security and facility coverage.
Education/Training/Skills/Experience/Personal Attributes:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous security, guard, gatehouse, military, law enforcement, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred, but not required.
- Must be legally eligible and able to meet all company requirements for an armed security position.
- Basic to intermediate computer literacy preferred.
- Good written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to accurately complete logs, records, passes, and other required documentation.
- Ability to verify credentials, follow access-control procedures, and consistently enforce company entry requirements.
- Ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, truck drivers, vendors, and company leadership.
- Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and sound judgment required.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the larger team and company operation.
- Reliable and consistent attendance required.
