The Retail Web Technology (RWT) organization leads the development and ongoing enhancement of Schwab’s Trade Watchlist and Quick Quote experiences for retail clients—individual investors like you.We are seeking a talented Manager - Software Development & Engineering / Sr. Software Developer who thrives as a technical leader and is passionate about using state-of-the-art web technologies to build compelling, interactive applications. Our mission is to deliver robust solutions that create measurable value for our clients in a collaborative, engaging environment.As a Senior Software Developer , you will help design, build, enhance, and support modern web applications that power key retail investing experiences. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, partnering across teams, and delivering high-quality solutions from concept through production.

•          Own delivery across the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and support.•          Build and enhance interactive, scalable web applications using modern front-end and full-stack technologies.•          Partner closely with cross-functional teammates in a collaborative, Agile environment to solve complex business and technical problems.•          Contribute to code quality, application performance, accessibility, and continuous improvement across the development process.•          Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot) to improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery speed. •          Apply prompt engineering / skills to accelerate development, debugging, and documentation. •          Contribute to building or integrating AI-powered features, services, or intelligent workflows into applications. •          Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen observability through logging, dashboards, monitoring, and alerting.•          Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of mentorship, learning, and shared ownership.
