Social Media Manager Job Summary

Texas Precious Metals is seeking a Social Media Manager to build and lead the day-to-day social presence of Texas Precious Metals, Texas Mint, Texas Depository, Y’all Street, and related brands. The Social Media Manager will shape platform strategy, create and capture content, engage audiences, monitor cultural and market conversations, and use performance data to continually improve how each brand shows up online.

Social Media Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage social media strategy across the organization’s brands and platforms.
  • Manage day-to-day presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
  • Build platform-specific editorial calendars based on the distinct audience, role, and purpose of each channel.
  • Create original social content, including copy, photography, short-form video, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and timely market-related posts.
  • Work with creative partners on higher-production assets and capture content at events, partnerships, activations, offices, and other brand moments.
  • Turn campaigns, podcasts, partnerships, market developments, and company initiatives into relevant social storytelling.
  • Manage community engagement, comments, responses, and participation in relevant conversations.
  • Monitor cultural, industry, and market conversations while identifying emerging channels, formats, and opportunities.
  • Track reach, engagement, audience growth, and content performance, using results to improve future strategy and content.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Social Media Manager Skills and Competencies

  • Platform-specific social strategy, editorial planning, copywriting, and community management.
  • Hands-on photography, smartphone video, short-form content creation, and social publishing.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X; TikTok or emerging-platform experience is a plus.
  • Social analytics, audience growth, content-performance interpretation, and actionable reporting.
  • Strong cultural awareness, creative judgment, collaboration, resourcefulness, and proactive ownership.

Social Media Manager Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of professional experience managing social media for a brand, organization, agency, or media company.
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for an established brand voice or positioning rather than only a personal channel.
  • Experience developing and executing platform-specific social strategies and engaging directly with audiences.
  • Comfort working with executives, employees, partners, and external personalities to capture authentic content.
  • Precious-metals experience is not required; curiosity about markets, business, investing, and culture is important.

  • Ability to perform standard computer-based and office work for extended periods.
  • Ability to capture photo and video content at offices, events, partnerships, activations, and other brand locations as needed.
