JOB DESCRIPTION

Manufacturing Supervisor 


Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Supervisor / Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day production operations. This position supports the Manufacturing Manager in schedule execution, operational administrative tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine field leadership with strong organizational skills to guarantee safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

  • Assist in creating, updating, and optimizing the daily/weekly production schedules.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of the production plan and adapt to changes or bottlenecks on the floor.
  • Prepare, print, and distribute Batch Files and Manufacturing Protocols for the production teams.
  • Monitor performance indicators and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

2. Document Management & Process Updates

  • Draft, review, and update manufacturing protocols and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all production logs, ERP data, and batch records are accurately maintained and compliant with industry standards.

3. Continuous Improvement & Project Support

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, problem-solving) to reduce waste, optimize changeovers, and improve yield.
  • Support the launch and follow-up of new production projects and industrial transfers.

4. Team Leadership & Shift Management

  • Provide operational support and leadership to production teams on the floor.
  • Standard working hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. However, flexibility is required to work on different shifts based on high-activity periods or business needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Education:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the cosmetics, food/beverage (agro-alimentaire), or pharmaceutical industries is highly preferred.

Technical Skills (Hard Skills):

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel and Word.
  • Solid experience working with ERP systems for production tracking.
  • Ability to read, understand, and write technical manufacturing protocols.

Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills):

  • Leadership: Ability to guide teams, make decisions on the floor, and enforce standards.
  • Stress Resilience: Ability to maintain focus and efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
  • Proactivity & Initiative: Self-motivated with a strong problem-solving mindset.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a strong asset.
