Schedule: 10 -12-Hour Shifts (Day or Night Availability Required)

About the Role
 
Danimer Scientific is a biotechnology company committed to creating sustainable, biodegradable materials that reduce plastic pollution. We are seeking a Compounding Operation Technician to support hands-on production activities in our Winchester facility.

What You’ll Do 

As a Compounding Operation Technician, you will play a critical role in safely operating and maintaining production processes while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate compounding process equipment and utilities
  • Monitor and adjust process conditions (valves, tanks, piping, sterilization systems)
  • Accurately document batch records and production data
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and safety protocols
  • Identify and report quality deviations or safety concerns
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues independently
  • Review production documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Perform housekeeping and weekly area audits
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support training of new operators
You will have the authority and responsibility to stop production in the event of a safety or quality concern.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4–8 years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with plastics or compounding processes
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software systems
Physical & Work Requirements

·         Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
·         Ability to wear required PPE including hearing protection
·         Exposure to manufacturing environments with moving equipment, airborne particles, and varying temperatures
·         Ability to hear machinery alarms and distinguish sounds on the production floor
·         Clear near and distance vision for computer and production tasks
