Essential functionsÂ
- Room Preparation and Maintenance
- Patient Flow, Patient Work Up
- Patient Communication, Obtaining Patient History of Chief Complaint
- Assisting/Setup of Surgical Patients, Assisting in Post Procedure Recovery Room Triage
- Basic Patient Teaching and Discharge, Routine Visit, Post-Operative, Post-Operative Complication , Routine Follow-Up
- Response to Emergency Situations

Experience and General Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or on-the-job-trained medical assistant
- Basic Phone Skills
- Computer Skills
- Basic Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology
- Problem Solving, Prioritizing, Time Management, Utilization of Patient Education Resources and Written Materials
- AAMA Certification preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ideal candidate will be Bilingual – English and SpanishÂ

In-Person Work Requirements
For positions based in a clinic or office setting, team members play an essential role in creating a supportive, collaborative, and safe environment for patients and colleagues.
In-Person Work Expectations:
- Ability to perform job duties on-site, which may include sitting, standing, walking, or lifting up to 20 lbs as needed.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance during scheduled work hours.
- Uphold safety and confidentiality standards in all work areas.
- Engage respectfully and compassionately with patients, visitors, and team members.
- Adapt to a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
- Willingness to use new technologies or communication tools to support workflow and collaboration.
