Production Worker

Job Summary

The production worker is directly involved in the building of cabinets and doors on the plant floor. The following duties must be performed under the supervision and direction of the production supervisor.

Essential Job Functions

• Able to stand for 8 hours a day
• Able to walk, bend, twist and reach
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly or up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
• Able to work without the influence of illicit drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicating substances

Responsibilities

Production worker responsibilities may include some or all the following:

• Must be able to identify various wood species.
• Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
• Perform carpentry-type work.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Must keep product organized.
• Perform typical machine operations to support the assembly floor if necessary.
• Maintain a clean work area and orderly conditions to follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Be willing to receive and accept frequent supervision and assistance.
• Must follow all federal and state safety laws and guidelines.
• The ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience in production or a like-occupation.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Employer participates in E-verify program.
