UNIVERSAL FAMILY INSURANCE (UFI), a NorthStar Fertility Company, is an established Lloyd’s of London Coverholder specializing in third party reproductive medical insurance risk management with offices in Boston and Great Barrington, Massachusetts. We are seeking an individual with the right experience and background for this unique niche industry, international and domestic insurance career opportunity. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the administrative aspects of reproductive medical insurance claims processing while working closely with internal underwriting and accounting team members to ensure accurate claim administration and a high level of customer service.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional corporate environment.


What you’ll do: 

  • Coordinate and support insurance office administrative processing of third party reproduction insurance claims.
  • Review and determine coverage eligibility for provider medical expense and contractual liability claims in accordance with guidelines 
  • Maintain and update claims administration and underwriting database systems.
  • Process policy claim payments and ensure accurate documentation and tracking.
  • Assist with claim reporting and case loss reserve documentation.
  • Respond to claimant inquiries and work to resolve claim-related issues.
  • Maintain organized claim files and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow processes and administrative efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support effective claims administration.


What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Claims experience
  • 2+ years of business office administrator experience in a corporate or professional environment required
  • Experience in insurance, claims administration, or risk management is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with business software applications; QuickBooks experience is a plus
  • Strong written, verbal, and quantitative skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to work effectively in a small business environment
