We offer a competitive salary for this role, with an expected range of $79,400/yr – $100,700/yr. The final offer will depend on your experience, skills, and overall qualifications. Join the team building the next generation of surface combatants for the United States Navy. As a Senior Planner, IPT (Integrated Product Team), you will play a critical role in the successful operations of the ship construction programs. You will work closely with Production Control, Production and fellow Planning counterparts to ensure a successful POW is in place for operations to be executed. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Sr. Planner, IPT ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones.Key Responsibilities

 

Safety Leadership:- Follow all safety policies and procedures, with a focus on housekeeping and personal safety. - Maintain schedules in a safe manner.- Contribute to hull management safety initiatives. Project Execution:- Evaluate the 6-week POW for liens and predecessor and successor requirements.- Work through fab and packaging liens ISO the POW schedule dates.- Attend morning meetings and ship scheduling meetings as required.- Work closely with the manager and trade leaders of the area assigned.Training and Development:- Identify and asses risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact schedules.- Provide feedback and lessons learned to improve future hulls.Team Collaboration and Communication:- Coordinate across departments to ensure seamless communication of schedule, cost and labor impacts.

Continuous Improvement:- Utilize the A3 methodology and BIW’s BOS to continually improve quality and results. 

Required/Preferred Education/Training

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.- Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, with proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams required.- Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal required.- Demonstrated ability to work multiple priorities simultaneously, and to completion required.- Strong understanding of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MACPAC required.- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and technical drawings preferred.- Familiarity and proficiency with Smartsheet and MKA

- Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus.

Required/Preferred Experience

- 2+ years of experience in Planning, Project Management or Change Management, ideally in a manufacturing or shipbuilding environment required.- 2+ years working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Macpac) required.
