The Manager-Business Operations-Academic Affairs will report to the SVP of Academic Affairs and oversee the budgeting and compliance components of the academic affairs enterprise. This position will also collaborate with market CFOs and market Directors of Academic Affairs across the health system to ensure fiscal responsibility across the system academic affairs enterprise and execute the fiscal financial strategy key to the success of our academic portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of FMOL Academic Affairs, ensuring alignment with system goals and compliance with system policies.
  • Oversee budget reconciliations for academic programs (both collegiate, UME and GME) as well as university partner agreements, ensuring accurate, transparent processes are in place
  • Manage accountability of faculty and learner time processes including tracking, reporting and ensuring accurate reimbursement for system cost reports
  • Direct the review, negotiation of and execution of contracts and legal agreements with academic partners, in collaboration with legal counsel.
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures to streamline contract workflows and improve efficiency
  • Partner with FHP to develop consistent physician educator compensation pathways
  • Partner with academic market leadership to support program development, accreditation processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators

 

Qualifications

Experience: 7 years with 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience; relevant experience in healthcare, financial management, or organizational development.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant field.
