JOB SUMMARY
The HR Manager leads Loadstar's recruiting and talent acquisition function while providing broad generalist support across the employee lifecycle. This role is well suited to an HR professional early in their career who is ready to take ownership of a function and grow into people leadership — prior people-management experience is not required. The HR Manager partners closely with hiring managers across Marine Operations, Plant Operations, Business Development, and Administration to keep Loadstar staffed with quality talent, and provides day-to-day support on onboarding, HRIS administration, compliance, and employee relations.

- Coordinate pre-employment steps (background checks, drug screens, credential verification) in partnership with the HR team.
- Support new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth first day and first week.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee data and personnel files in Dayforce, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.

- Serve as a day-to-day resource for employees and managers on HR policies and workplace questions, escalating complex issues to HR leadership as needed.
- Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives in partnership with the broader HR team.
- Participate in employee relations meetings, investigations, or terminations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by HR leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
