About the Role:
Longs Trailer Repair in Beaumont, TX is looking for a hardworking and dependable Shop Hand to join our team! This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of the trailer repair industry and grow your mechanical skills in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Assist technicians with trailer repair, maintenance, and inspection tasks
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Move and position trailers around the shop yard as needed
- Retrieve tools, parts, and supplies to support repair operations
- Dispose of waste materials and fluids in accordance with safety guidelines
- Perform basic tasks such as grinding, and prepping trailers, bearing jobs, any repairs needed
- Support team members to ensure efficient shop workflow
Requirements:
- Prior shop, mechanical, or labor experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment — lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and work well within a team
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment preferred
- Valid driver's licenseÂ
- Must be able to work safely and follow all shop safety protocols
