What You’ll Do Develop and enhance Appian applications including process models, user interfaces (SAIL), business rules, and data structures in the P3 environment Design and build workflow automation solutions that support Air Force PA business processes; implement case management and approval workflows Gather requirements from government stakeholders and business analysts; translate functional requirements into technical Appian designs and implementations Work with APIs and integrations to connect P3 with external Air Force systems (AES, GPC, AFORS, Vector, directory services) Write and optimize SQL queries to support data models, reporting, and business logic; ensure data integrity throughout the system Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities; support troubleshooting of production issues with guidance from senior developers Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team; attend stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; manage work items in Jira Document code, design decisions, and implementation details; contribute to team knowledge base and best practices documentation Support user acceptance testing and coordinate with P3 stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements Continuously learn and improve your Appian skills; pursue relevant certifications with team support and mentorship What You Bring  Required U.S. Citizenship or eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance Minimum 2-4 years of software development experience with at least 1-2 years of direct hands-on Appian development Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) Appian Certified Associate Developer (Level 1) or Appian Certified Application Developer (Level 2) certification Solid understanding of business process management (BPM) concepts and SDLC methodologies Practical experience with Appian features including process models, SAIL interfaces, business rules, CDTs, and records Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL) Basic familiarity with API integration concepts and REST/SOAP web services Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in team environments Preferred Appian Certified Senior Developer (Level 2) certification or demonstrated path toward it Experience with case management or workflow automation applications Experience designing and implementing integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs Previous experience on DoD or federal government contracting projects Familiarity with government compliance requirements, Section 508 accessibility, or federal IT standards Experience with data migration or ETL processes Knowledge of Appian best practices, design patterns, and platform architecture Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD concepts Our Core Values Bias for Action: Decisive.
