By focusing on continual improvement, our services remain at the forefront of our industry, and we pride ourselves on delivering our services with the highest degree of integrity.    SierTek Ltd. is seeking a Systems Analyst to support an opportunity at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH.     Position Overview:  The Systems Analyst will perform professional assignments related to the application programmer/analyst functions for a governmental financial system.    Essential Job Functions   Perform programming of new and existing software.   Code and debug software.  Write project designs to fulfill requirements provided, documenting problem, background, technical solution, and unit test steps.  Document software changes in system manuals. Identify sections and books needing to be modified.  Perform unit and integration testing:   Use testing methodologies (such as parallel testing) and identify logic paths to cover.  Write test plan, including identification of logic to be tested.   Write test results document for posting to project in SharePoint. The document includes artifacts, such as reports, screen shots and database excerpts, illustrating results.  Provide operations support for Production jobs.  Publish and maintain system manuals:   Edit new changes made by others, correcting format, capitalization, numbering, spelling, etc.  Format large documents in MS Word, using the revision marking feature, table of contents, headers and footers, page numbering and pagination checking.   Use Adobe Acrobat to create PDFs.  Assist other technical staff, project management office and users with Production and data problem research and resolution.  Participate on a fast-paced team, building and maintaining mainframe software systems. Participate in meetings with customers to determine requirements for new features. Have active role in development projects throughout all phases of the software life cycle. Write and test well designed software using best practices. Create and maintain software documentation. Assess new initiatives to determine work effort and estimate time-to-completion Use organization, communication, and troubleshooting skills to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Contribute to the effectiveness of the team's service to its customers by offering suggestions, recommendations, and participating as an active member of the team. QualificationsMinimum Position Requirements  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.  Experience with the following software:  PC software: Acrobat Pro, Visio, Word for Windows, SharePoint  Languages: FOCUS, JCL, COBOL, REXX, Appian Operating systems: z/OS (aka MVS) and Windows  Mainframe utilities: ISPF, TSO  Other knowledge/ skills required:  Mainframe  CMCS Business   Office Skills and Documentation   Configuration Mangement   CompTIA Security+ Certification     SierTeK is an equal opportunity employer.
