Our front office team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and seamless experience for every patient who walks through our doors. We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-focused individual to join our team in a full-time Patient Access Representative role.

Position Summary

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for performing key front office and clinical administrative tasks while maintaining a professional, friendly, and service-oriented approach. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to delivering excellent patient care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients in a warm, professional, and approachable manner
  • Communicate procedures and registration requirements to patients upon arrival
  • Schedule appointments in person and over the phone using an electronic scheduling system
  • Manage high-volume patient call queues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect co-payments and ensure accurate transaction processing
  • Verify, update, and maintain patient demographic and insurance information
  • Safeguard confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Navigate multiple computer systems and software platforms efficiently
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Support a team-based approach to ensure the best patient experience
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with practice policy
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new systems

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
  • Start and end times may vary slightly based on location and schedule needs
  • Must be available to rotate between office locations

Locations

Bedford Commons OBGYN operates across multiple sites including Bedford, Derry, Londonderry, and Windham of New Hampshire. The selected candidate will be expected to rotate across all office locations as needed.
