Lead Modern Disbursement Operations
- Oversee all accounts payable and disbursement activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant vendor paymentsÂ
- Maintain strong governance of vendor master data, including onboarding, maintenance, and data integrityÂ
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational excellenceÂ
- Drive effective utilization of ERP systems and financial platforms supporting disbursement operationsÂ
Drive Digital Transformation & Process Innovation
- Lead the evolution toward a highly automated, touchless accounts payable environment through workflow redesign and emerging technologiesÂ
- Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and service deliveryÂ
- Partner with Finance and Information Services to modernize systems, tools, and reporting capabilitiesÂ
- Champion innovation that strengthens financial operations and reduces manual effort Â
Strengthen Controls, Compliance & Risk Management
- Establish and continuously enhance internal controls across accounts payable and business expense processesÂ
- Ensure appropriate access, governance, and protection of sensitive financial and vendor dataÂ
- Proactively identify and mitigate fraud risks through strong controls and monitoring practicesÂ
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and accreditation requirementsÂ
Lead High-Performing Teams & Culture
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounts payable team rooted in HEART valuesÂ
- Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvementÂ
- Evaluate team structure and workflows to drive productivity, engagement, and operational effectivenessÂ

Deliver Strategic Insights & Operational Excellence
- Provide timely, accurate reporting and insights to leadership and key stakeholders Â
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial disbursement processes and lead implementation of improvementsÂ
- Support the Controller with financial analysis, reporting, and special initiatives Â
- Monitor performance metrics and drive actions that improve outcomes and accountabilityÂ
Strengthen Enterprise Collaboration
- Serve as a cross-functional leader across Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Services, and Internal Audit/ComplianceÂ
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and effective service deliveryÂ
- Communicate clearly and influence outcomes across all levels of the organizationÂ
Support Accreditation & Regulatory Excellence
- Ensure departmental readiness for Joint Commission and other regulatory requirementsÂ
- Maintain policies and procedures aligned with current regulations and industry best practicesÂ
- Collaborate across departments to support system-wide compliance and accreditation effortsÂ

Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline requiredÂ
- Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, or related field) preferredÂ
Â
Certifications (Preferred)
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), APM, or related certification preferredÂ
Â
Required Experience
- 7+ years of experience in financial disbursements, accounts payable, and/or accounting functionsÂ
- 5+ years of progressive leadership or supervisory experienceÂ
Preferred Experience
- Experience operating within large, complex organizational environmentsÂ
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle CloudÂ
- Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated environment preferredÂ
- Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations
