Manufacturing Specialist (General Factory)

Capitol Aluminum & Glass Corp. is seeking dedicated, self-motivated individuals to join the window fabrication department in our small, family-run manufacturing plant. Plant operations are first shift only, generally Monday through Friday (hours 7:00AM-3:30PM with potential for mandatory overtime up to 10-hour days – 6:00AM-4:30PM).

The primary duties of this position include measuring, cutting, machining, and assembly of aluminum extrusions for commercial window products.  Other tasks may be required.

What We Expect: 

 Operating equipment - such as drill presses, chop saws, and various hand and power tools, such as drill/impact and tape measure

• Ability to count and problem-solve accurately
• Work well individually (without direction) and with co-workers and understand team concepts
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Follow established work and safety rules
• Demonstrate regular, consistent attendance

Job requirements:

• Previous experience in construction or job shop atmosphere.

• Leadership experience helpful.
• Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds frequently during work shift.

• Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Welding and blueprint fabrication (this job does not require any welding)
  • Any type of machine shop, metal working, or wood working skills
