CDL A Truck Drivers

Cobra Logistics Inc. is hiring CDL-A drivers for multiple roles, deliver windows and sliding doors to job sites, distribution centers, residential and dealer locations, as well as intermodal drivers. We offer three route options so drivers can choose the schedule that fits their life — Day Trip, Regional, and OTR. This is a touch freight position, meaning drivers are actively involved in securing, loading, and unloading product, not just driving.

Route Options

**Day Trip Driver**

Home every night. Local and short-haul routes with predictable daily schedules.

**Regional Driver**

Home weekly, out 2–3 nights per week. Routes cover a multi-state region with more variety than local runs.

**OTR Driver**

Possibility of Home weekly. Longer-haul routes covering a wider territory, with scheduled home time.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer to deliver windows and sliding doors to customer and job site locations
• Perform touch freight duties, including securing, loading, and unloading fragile glass and door products by hand
• Use proper load securement techniques (straps, blankets, dunnage) to prevent product damage in transit
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, logs, and proof-of-delivery documentation
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery issues
• Represent the company professionally at customer and job sites
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Comfortable with touch freight — this role requires hands-on loading/unloading, including handling large, fragile items like windows and sliding glass doors
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver bulky and fragile freight safely, with assistance/equipment as needed
• Experience with flatbed, box truck, or specialty freight securement a plus
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Willingness to work the schedule associated with the selected route type (Day, Regional, or OTR)
