The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents by monitoring vital signs, developing and updating resident care plan for completion of treatment goals, reviewing residents’ charts for physician orders, progress notes and physical complaints, and performing other nursing procedures as directed. 

 

Arkansas Health Center is a long-term care facility that requires 24hr coverage & it is imperative to have qualified Nurses. This 2nd RN will assist the Unit RN Supervisor with the skilled care on our Willow Unit to provide a collaborative skilled nursing team. Vent/Trach experience is strongly preferred.  LTC experience is preferred in order to manage the unit with the skill & expertise needed to ensure compliance with OLTC guidelines. This position works closely with and provides leadership to the CNA & ancillary staff. Typically this position  works M-F 8 hr. shifts, though hours may vary at times to 12 hours as needed to assist with Unit Coverage

Job Summary

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. RNs assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Primary Responsibilities

Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders. Develop, implement, and update patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices. Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition. Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely. Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
