Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Millwright to support the setup, maintenance, leveling, and adjustment of BLOX's adjustable threaded welding jig tables.

The Manufacturing Millwright will be responsible for ensuring welding jig tables are properly set, leveled, aligned, maintained, and ready for production. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and quality of the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with precision setup and mechanical adjustment, and the ability to understand how table level, alignment, and condition affect the quality of manufactured components.



Job Responsibilities

  • Set up, level, align, and adjust welding jig tables according to production requirements, drawings, specifications, and established standards.
  • Use precision measurement equipment to verify table elevation, level, square, alignment, and dimensional requirements.
  • Inspect tables, threaded rods, adjustment mechanisms, supports, fixtures, and other components for wear, damage, or conditions that could affect production.
  • Clean, lubricate, repair, replace, and adjust table components as needed to maintain proper operation.
  • Verify table setup and condition before releasing the work area to production.
  • Assist Production, Quality, and Engineering in resolving table setup and dimensional issues.
  • Fabricate or modify brackets, supports, stops, fixtures, and other mechanical components as needed.
  • Safely move and position tables using appropriate lifting and material-handling equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standardized setup and inspection practices to improve table consistency and repeatability.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, adjustments, and table conditions.
  • Follow all BLOX safety policies, procedures, and standard work, including Lockout/Tagout when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and participate in 5S activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements


Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in millwright, mechanical assembly, fabrication, welding, machine setup, industrial construction, or a related skilled trade.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools and understand level, square, elevation, and dimensional tolerances.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
  • Ability to perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous millwright experience.
  • Experience setting, leveling, or aligning machinery or manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with welding fixtures, jigs, tables, or manufacturing tooling.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience with precision measurement and dimensional control.
  • Experience reading fabrication or structural drawings.
  • Experience using laser levels or other precision leveling equipment.
  • Forklift, crane, or rigging experience.
  • Manufacturing experience.


Performance Expectations


The Manufacturing Millwright is expected to:

  • Own the condition, accuracy, and readiness of the welding jig tables.
  • Ensure tables are consistently set, level, aligned, and maintained within established tolerances.
  • Identify and correct table issues before they create production or quality problems.
  • Maintain and improve the reliability and repeatability of table adjustment systems.
  • Establish and follow standardized setup practices.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of the table setup process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed on the BLOX manufacturing floor.
  • Regular exposure to welding operations, manufacturing equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working around and underneath welding jig tables.
  • May require the use of ladders, lifts, hoists, forklifts, or other equipment.
  • Must follow all BLOX safety requirements and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Full-time, non-exempt position.
  • Overtime or flexible hours may be required based on production needs.
