Bethesda Country Club is hiring a Banquet Houseperson!
Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to help create exceptional experiences? Are you dependable, hardworking, and proud of keeping events running smoothly? Join our banquet team and help make weddings, celebrations, club events, and other special occasions memorable for our members and their guests.
As a Banquet Houseperson, you'll play an essential role in preparing event spaces, supporting the banquet service team, and maintaining a clean, polished environment throughout each event-all while working in a fun, team-focused atmosphere.
What You'll Do
- Set up and break down banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment
- Prepare dining and event spaces according to established layouts and club standards
- Keep dining rooms, server stations, bars, and service areas clean, organized, and well stocked
- Assist banquet servers and bartenders with food and beverage service as needed
- Clear and reset tables throughout events
- Replenish supplies, linens, glassware, china, and other service items
- Assist with moving and storing banquet equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond promptly to requests from banquet staff, members, and guests
- Help ensure event spaces remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready
- Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, supervisors, and other banquet staff
What We're Looking For
- Previous banquet, hospitality, restaurant, or event experience preferred
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced event setting
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move banquet equipment and supplies
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
