JOB SUMMARY

The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

• Clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and effectively
• Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen and food service areas
• Stock and organize kitchen supplies and utensils
• Clean food preparation and serving areas (counters, trays, utensils)
• Transport dishware and supplies using carts and bus tubs
• Follow company policies, attendance standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Minimum 6 months of kitchen or food service experience
• Basic English communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including all shifts and weekends
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and grooming
• ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (pushing, pulling, bending, reaching)
• Must be able to work in hot, high-temperature environments (up to 115°F near dish machines)
• Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely (e.g., bleach, oven cleaner)
• Capable of operating dishwashing equipment
• Must respond effectively to visual and auditory cues
