Job Summary:
Â
The Quality Engineer will play a key role in overall product development, driving continuous improvement and ensuring consistent quality. The candidate will be expected to act as the main point of contact for our internal engineering teams on all product-related issues.
Â
Responsibilities:
Â
- Maintain and administer plant control systems by creating, revising, and auditing quality manuals and other programs/procedures in accordance with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements.
- Maintain the statistical process control program by performing a variety of statistical analyses on products and production processes. Conduct studies to develop inspection methods and sampling control procedures to achieve quality control goals and economical manufacturing costs.
- Coordinate the corrective action program to improve supplier and plant production quality control goals and economical manufacturing costs.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret scrap and return statistics and provide suggestions to enhance plant and supplier performance in these areas.
- Maintain plant measurement and test equipment. Coordinate instrument calibration and repairs and conduct MSA studies and track gage histories. Â
- Establish key production process characteristics and assist in developing procedures to control these factors. Conduct production process and product failure mode effect analysis (FMEA), as required, and Control Plan(s).
- Assist in the improvement of supplier quality through auditing and overseeing supplier development.
- Assist with customer service activities.
- Supervise an inspection team.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications:
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in Quality within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of IATF standards and quality management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and professionally with others.
