Overview:

Celanese is seeking an Instrumentation Technician, Maintenance to join our team in Bishop, TX. 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and functionally check instruments, control systems, final control elements, control valves, switches, levels, temperatures and flows
  • Install, test, troubleshoot and repair motor controls, PLC’s and relays
  • Use test equipment, multimeters, loop calibrators, communicators, computers and hand tools
  • Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot ladder logic
  • Reads, interprets electrical drawings and P&ID’s
  • Maintains drawings to reflect any modifications
  • Works directly with vendors, operations, and reliability group to resolve problems
  • Participate in site-wide Process Safety and Risk Reduction
  • Create and update accurate reports using SAP
  • Complete all written and electronic records, calibration sheets, work orders and document the work in progress as it is completed

Qualifications:

  • Must have basic computer skills including MS office applications, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Detail oriented with problem solving skills, and able to organize and prioritize work assignments
  • Knowledge of general and specific maintenance disciplines usually gained through a technical associate degree
  • Able to work overtime, weekends and have scheduled on call duties
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance instrument, analyzer and/or electrical experience – preferred
  • Instrumentation associate degree - preferred
  • NCCER- Instrumentation certification - preferred
