Our assistant location manager is responsible for supporting the location manager in leading student transportation program toward service excellence and continuous improvement. They are the point person and designated as the person acting on the contract for the company in the absence of the location manager. Supported by our Location Manager, the assistant location manager is charged with meeting your needs consistently and satisfactorily while resolving any issues that may arise.

Specific location manager responsibilities include the following:
  • Builds a positive, service-oriented culture
  • Deliver overall performance and results for the location assigned.
  • Communicate company values, strategies and objectives to all employees while encouraging input from all employees.
  • Review/monitor performance of revenue and driver wages. Understanding the customer contract and how/what is to be invoiced. Understanding routing and impact on driver wages.
  • Assist regional director of operations and region vice president in preparing annual budgets.
  • Enhances and maintains the company image with customers, communities, employees, and other organizations.
  • Meets regularly with school administrators and campus personnel. Communicates with all levels of the district through email, text, or phone.
  • Ensures compliance with all company procedures and policies.
  • Maintains and directs the usage of company assets.
  • Assures safe working environment for all employees.
  • Determines resources needs and plans accordingly. Recruits, directs training to always ensure proper staffing.
  • Directs trainers, establishes training goals for operation and individuals
  • Directs technicians, monitoring breakdowns, pm schedules, vehicle inspection report repairs and ensures the overall operation of the fleet with the lead technician.
  • Review and establish routes for efficiency and customer needs. Working with the school district to ensure that routes are established in the safest manner possible.
  • Provide fair and comprehensive employee management at the location including recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, evaluation, and corrective action.
  • Review and approval all expenditures including accounts payable and payroll. Will review employee timecards to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of the hours reported. Submitting appropriate paperwork to record employee status — (hire, termination, leave of absence).
  • Review, approve and submitted monthly/weekly reports as required.
