Northstar Tavern Inc in Bloomington, MN is looking for a friendly and energetic Host to be the first face our guests see! Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently
- Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests
- Coordinate with servers and floor staff to ensure smooth table turnover
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general inquiries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand and entrance area
- Assist with carry-out orders and to-go packaging as needed
Requirements:
- Prior hosting, customer service, or front-of-house experience preferred
- Outgoing, friendly, and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the dining area
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
