3rd Shift Electronics Operations Supervisor
Location: Bloomington, IN
Shift: 3rd Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 PM–6:00 AM
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year + 3rd Shift Differential
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Electronics Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee nightly operations at a busy production facility in Bloomington, IN.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading a production team, organizing daily workloads, monitoring productivity and quality, ensuring employees follow established processes, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing or operations leader who enjoys developing employees, improving processes, solving problems, and driving production results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a productive and engaged production team.
- Oversee nightly operations and ensure production goals are met.
- Organize daily workloads throughout the department to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor individual and team productivity and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements and one-on-one coaching.
- Ensure employees follow established processes, procedures, and safety practices.
- Train new and existing employees on department processes and procedures.
- Research and resolve production, picking, and shipping errors.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide department, productivity, and efficiency reporting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
- Lead by example in production, process knowledge, safety, and professionalism.
- Open or close the facility as required based on assigned shift responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience required.
- Previous experience leading employees in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or operations environment.
- Experience successfully implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work proactively and independently.
- Computer proficient with experience using multiple ERP systems.
- Knowledge of department processes and procedures.
- Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and move throughout a production/warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, count accurately, perform basic math, and communicate effectively in English.
