ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, and no two days look alike. You'll support six locations across the metro, and it's common to work out of several buildings in a single day — a leaking faucet and a run of burnt-out ballasts in the morning, a scissor lift and a carpentry repair in the afternoon. If you like variety, working with your hands, and owning problems end to end, you'll do well here. This role is more physically demanding than most positions in our organization. Please review the Physical Demands section before applying.
Â
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Use our ticketing system to plan and prioritize your workday, responding to all requests within 24 hours
- Travel between six locations, often several in a single day, to assess and resolve facility issues on site
- Identify facility-related issues, propose a plan of action, and execute it promptly
- Handle plumbing repairs, including replacing faucets and fixtures and repairing leaks
- Complete light electrical work, including switches, outlets, lamps, ballasts, and drivers
- Troubleshoot, service, and maintain HVAC systems
- Perform carpentry and painting work across buildings, grounds, and interiors
- Assist with and perform preventative maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Safely operate a man lift, scissor lift, forklift, skid steer, and snowplow as the work requires
- Coordinate with CBRE and other third-party facilities partners — sharing work orders and directing day-to-day work in our buildings
- Maintain regulatory compliance and follow all safety requirements, including eyewear and hard-toed, slip-resistant footwear in service departments
- Transport tools and equipment between job sites, and support office set-ups and tear-downs
- Occasionally perform janitorial functions for buildings, grounds, and equipment using cost-effective, efficient methods
- Work independently with minimal supervision on other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned
SCHEDULE & ON-CALL
- Full-time, typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some flexibility
- Occasional early starts and after-hours work depending on facility needs, weather, and project timing
- Rotating on-call Friday through Sunday, responding to critical calls during that window, with additional compensation for on-call weekends
