Position Summary: Serves as Counselor for the Youth Services Bureau of Monroe County with focus on both Binkley House Emergency Youth Shelter and adolescent programming for community groups. Responsible for providing community-based and short-term intervention counseling for youth and their families, and providing training and group facilitation for youth, parents, volunteers, and community organizations.Â

Must participate in an on-call rotation with other clinical staff and must be available to respond to phone calls to provide clinical support to youth and shelter staff. At times, on-call support may need to be provided in person at the facility.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or related field, working towards licensure, with previous experience in marriage and family therapy or related counseling discipline.
Salary:  2026 Starting Salary $63,461 (no Monroe County Government work experience). Based on full time 40-hour work week. (PAT C job classification). Monroe County operates with complete pay transparency. Employees receive pay increases at 3, 8, 14, 20, and 25 years of employment, and cost-of-living adjustments are evaluated annually.
