Job Summary

The PM housekeeper ensures that meeting rooms, public areas, spa area, fitness suite, pool area, and retail areas are clean, orderly and well maintained. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for vacuuming hotel hallways and common areas of the hotel.
  • Cleans all upholstery, draperies, carpet, wood, granite, and marble surfaces on flooring, furniture and walls.
  • Performs general janitorial duties for hotel restrooms, lobby and common areas.
  • Collects and disposes of all trash in receptacles throughout the hotel.
  • Stocks and stores all hotel housekeeping deliveries received.
  • Responsible for dusting and polishing all items in hotel common areas.
  • Communicates with Maintenance on all repairs, minor or large.
  • Launders, folds, and stocks hotel linens, including operating all laundry equipment.
  • Prepares rollaway beds, fridges and other items and delivers them to rooms. 
  • Ensures proper setup and breakdown of meeting rooms.
  • Constantly seeking ways to improve quality.
  • Meets or exceeds customer expectations that will translate into high guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to clean a full guest room on an as-needed basis.
  • Provides accurate directions and information for guest inquiries and is knowledgeable about all aspects of the Blue Lake Casino & Hotel services, features, attractions, promotions and special events.
  • Position will be required to work nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, TRAINING

While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
