Job DetailsJob Location: Boca Grande, FL 33921Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: Day Job Title: Reservation Agent Reports to:   Reservation Manager Department/Group: Reservations Effective Date: October 1, 2024 Job Code:       Location: On Site Travel Required: None Position Type: Non-Exempt On Call: No Job Purpose: The Gasparilla Inn & Club is currently seeking a professional and responsible Reservation Agent to work in the Reservations Department of a busy hotel in Southwest Florida. We have full time positions available; hours would vary with shifts available between 7:30am and 6:30pm. Weekend availability preferred.   Job Duties: Adheres to the Gasparilla Inn and Club's 4 Steps to Memorable Service. Exhibit's the Gasparilla Inn's Core Values. Thorough knowledge of property, space, capacities and amenities of the Inn. Knowledge of room types, packages, rates, accommodations, deposit and cancellation policies. Knowledge of travel agent policies and procedures. Answering phones using proper telephone etiquette.. Making, changing, canceling reservations, charging advance deposits and posting cancellation fees. Processing gift cards. Checking reservations to accommodate special requests on a daily basis. Making sure that all filing is completed daily. Processing daily reports for office use and distribution to other Departments on property. Monitoring voice and email messages and ensuring they are returned in a timely manner. All other duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Assignments: This position is an administrative position and require sitting 90% of the time as well as high degree of proficiency in hand/finger dexterity, speech and hearing and talking on the telephone with a headset. Basic computer proficiency and typing skills. High-school diploma. Patient, friendly and pleasant demeanor. Open availability to work weekends and other hours based on business needs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, problem-solve and multi-task Must be able to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English Preferred: Preferred experience in a private club, large hotel or resort.
