Job Summary:Â
The Recruitment & Enrollment Student Associate supports recruitment and enrollment efforts for New England Conservatory’s Expanded Education programs, including Preparatory School, Adult Education, and Summer Programs.
Working closely with the Expanded Education Enrollment team, this position will help identify prospective students and community partners, follow up with applicants and families, and keep recruitment and enrollment information organized. This position offers hands-on experience in arts administration, marketing, recruitment, and higher education while helping connect musicians of all ages and backgrounds with NEC’s programs.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain outreach lists for Preparatory School, Adult Education, and Summer Programs
- Assist with targeted outreach using messaging and materials provided by the Enrollment Team
- Contact applicants and families as directed by the Enrollment Team, including reminders about upcoming deadlines, missing materials, placement decisions, and registration requirements
- Help manage applicant files and database systems
- Support live auditions, recruitment events, open houses, and other Expanded Education enrollment initiatives as needed
- Perform other recruitment, enrollment, and administrative tasks as assigned by the NEC Expanded Education Enrollment Team
The position is compensated at $15.00 per hour with a desired start date of 9/12/2026.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable communicating professionally with students and families.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google applications is required, and an interest in arts administration, marketing, recruitment, or higher education is preferred.Â
- Successful applicants must be self-motivated, comfortable conducting online research and outreach, and able to represent NEC in a professional, enthusiastic, and welcoming manner.
- Because the position may involve access to confidential applicant and enrollment information, applicants must demonstrate discretion and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Additional Information:
All students must complete payroll paperwork (W-4, I-9, etc.) in the Human Resources Office AND submit a CORI form through the Human Resources office before beginning work for any Prep department.
