Job Description
Vertex is seeking a Project Manager to support the Pain Insights & Analytics team. This team spans omnichannel analytics, brand analytics, forecasting, and market insights/market research, and plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.Â
In this role, the Project Manager will lead and coordinate multiple cross-functional initiatives that require strong organization, structure, and follow-through to be successful. This individual will work closely with the analytics leads and business owners to help drive workstreams forward, maintain alignment across stakeholders, and ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional initiatives for the Pain Insights & Analytics teamÂ
- Partner with the analytics lead and workstream business owners to define project goals, scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverablesÂ
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, status updates, meeting cadences, and action trackersÂ
- Ensure alignment across omnichannel analytics, brand analytics, forecasting, and market insights stakeholdersÂ
- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and proactively escalate or resolve issues as neededÂ
- Facilitate effective communication among cross-functional partners to keep projects on trackÂ
- Support planning, prioritization, and coordination of multiple concurrent initiativesÂ
- Track progress against deliverables and help ensure timelines and business objectives are metÂ
- Prepare clear and concise project updates for team members and leadershipÂ
- Promote project management best practices and help establish consistent ways of working across initiativesÂ

Required QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Analytics, Public Health, Marketing, or a related fieldÂ
- 3+ years of experience in project management, business operations, analytics, insights, consulting, or a related functionÂ
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholdersÂ
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several initiatives simultaneouslyÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Proven ability to coordinate across teams and drive progress in a matrixed environmentÂ
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain structure across evolving prioritiesÂ
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholdersÂ
- Experience supporting strategic planning, analytics, insights, or commercial operations workstreamsÂ
Technical Skills RequiredÂ
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, Monday.com, or Microsoft ProjectÂ
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordÂ
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePointÂ
- Familiarity with project tracking, milestone planning, and risk management practicesÂ
- Comfort working with analytics, reporting, and insights teamsÂ
- Ability to manage project documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder communicationsÂ

Preferred SkillsÂ
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industryÂ
- Familiarity with forecasting, targeting, market research, and/or analytics capability developmentÂ
- Exposure to commercial analytics, omnichannel analytics, or brand analyticsÂ
- Understanding of insights generation and analytics processes in a business settingÂ
- Experience supporting large-scale market research initiatives or cross-functional capability buildsÂ
- PMP, Agile, or related project management certificationÂ
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build strong partnerships across teams

Pay Range
$80.00 – $85.00 / hour
