We are seeking a Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate to join our Protein Engineering team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong molecular biology skills and a passion for scientific innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment focused on the development of novel therapeutic antibodies.
This is a full-time onsite position in Bothell, WA and follows a Thursday through Monday work schedule, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex molecular biology techniques including PCR, Restriction Endonuclease Digestion, Gibson Assembly, Ligation cloning, Golden Gate Assembly, bacterial transformations, and plasmid purification.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
- Collaborate with team members to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression.
- Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing molecular workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:Â Â
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Research Associate II requires bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of industry experience.
- Senior Research Associate requires bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology techniques.
- Experience with cell line engineering plasmids is a plus.
- Experience using sequencing analysis software (eg. Geneious, Benchling) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- This position follows a Thursday through Monday schedule, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Tuesday and Wednesday are regular days off.
Compensation and Benefits:Â
The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s level qualifications, experience, and skills.Â
While most offers typically fall within the low to mid-point of the range, we may extend an offer toward the higher end for exceptional candidates whose background and expertise exceeds the requirements of the role.Â
