Overview

For many guests, a visit to the Spa at Boyne Mountain is the highlight of their stay — a moment to slow down, be taken care of, and leave feeling genuinely restored. As a Nail Technician, you’re the person who creates that experience. Through skilled, attentive manicure and pedicure services, you’re not just delivering a treatment — you’re delivering a memory.

Everything we do at Boyne Mountain is guided by our core values — L.E.A.D.S.: Long-Term Thinking, Excellence in Execution, Attitude is Everything, Develop Great People, and Serve First. You’ll bring those values to every appointment, every guest interaction, and every moment you spend on our salon floor. As a Boyne Mountain team member, you’ll also enjoy ski passes, golf passes, waterpark passes, and discounts on food, beverages, retail, affordable childcare, and much more.

Responsibilities

  • Excellence in Execution. Deliver consistent, professional manicure and pedicure services — including accompanying hand and foot massage — in full accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices. Uphold the highest standards of sanitation and sterilization as required by law and spa policy. Perform all prep work and properly clean your station after every appointment, because the next guest deserves the same flawless experience as the last.
  • Serve First. Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously, providing accurate and immediate responses to every request. Your goal isn’t just guest satisfaction — it’s guest delight. When a guest leaves your chair, they should feel genuinely cared for.
  • Develop Great People. Maintain complete knowledge and understanding of all salon services and products and share that knowledge generously with guests — educating them on home care programs and what will best support their results between visits. Regularly attend, participate in, and support salon training sessions and staff meetings, bringing the same commitment to your own growth that you bring to your guests’ experience.
  • Long-Term Thinking. Care for your equipment properly and use product amounts thoughtfully to support cost controls without compromising quality. Actively promote home care programs and meet minimum retail sales goals — because a guest who leaves with the right products is a guest who comes back.
  • Attitude is Everything. Actively promote the spa and salon, its treatments, services, programs, and promotions with genuine enthusiasm. Assist in all areas of salon operation as requested by management, and bring the same positive, professional presence to every shift — whether your schedule is full or you’re supporting a colleague.
  • Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the salon that require attention — promptly and without hesitation.

Qualifications

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You hold a current Michigan Nail Technician license.
  • You’re available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays — a resort spa runs on the guests’ schedule, and you’re ready for that.
  • You have previous experience in a salon, hospitality, customer service, or spa setting — or an equivalent combination that has shaped the technician you are today.
  • You’re comfortable working independently and take ownership of your work without needing close supervision.
  • You bring warmth, professionalism, and genuine care to every guest — because for many of them, this appointment is the best part of their day.

If you’re a skilled technician who takes pride in your craft, loves connecting with guests, and wants your work to be part of something special — Boyne Mountain is ready for you.
