Heavy Duty Lift Truck Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

You will work as part of a team where discipline and rigor are the highest priorities. You will perform complex operations that require a high level of attention, concentration and coordination.

This position will work on the night shift and earn a $2 night shift premium.  Base pay is determined by experience level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Heavy Duty Lift Truck Operator, you must be able to:

• Operate a high capacity lift truck to handle oversized complex parts
• Identify the lift truck components and report abnormalities if applicable
• Use safe methods while operating the lift truck
• Respect the load limit considering the handling techniques and standards
• Scan environment, assess risks and take the necessary precautions
• Must be able to safely load, unload or handle hazardous materials, including paint waste and used oil, while following safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor.

*** May be out of the lift truck up to 50% of the time

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to:

• Climb stairs and ladders; work at heights
• Lift and carry between 30-70 lbs.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach
• Work above shoulders
• Tolerate exposure to weather, hot/cold environments
