About the Opportunity
Are you ready to blend the art and science of natural medicine with compassionate, community-based primary care? Family Health Centers (FHC) is looking for a driven, dedicated, and empathetic Naturopathic Resident to join our team!
In this exciting second-year residency position, you won't just practice medicine—you will be a vital lifeline for low-income and underserved populations, delivering high-quality, whole-person medical care with a strong focus on community-based palliative care. You’ll hone your skills alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and dedicated healthcare staff.
What You’ll Do
As a Naturopathic Resident Physician, your dual focus will be delivering top-tier patient care and continuously elevating your clinical expertise through structured observation, mentorship, and peer review.
Primary Clinical & Quality Responsibilities
Palliative & Primary Care: Deliver direct, compassionate palliative and primary care services independently and collaboratively across clinic settings.
Consultation & Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expert by consulting with internal teams, specialty providers, and external partners via in-person, phone, and telehealth modalities.
Procedures & Dispensary: Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with credentialing policies and dispense medications from our on-site dispensary following WA Pharmacy Board guidelines.
Referrals & Diagnostics: Assess complex patient needs, order diagnostics, and manage referrals for specialized or inpatient care.
Patient Education & Advocacy: Empower patients and their families through holistic health education, disease prevention, and clear counseling on diagnoses and treatment plans.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in practice guideline development, Quality Improvement (QI) programs, risk management audits, and inter-agency committees.
What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience
Education: Graduate of an accredited Naturopathic University.
Residency: Completion of at least 1 year of an accredited Naturopathic Primary Care residency program.
Licensure: Active (or eligible for) license to practice as a Naturopathic Physician with Prescriptive Authority in the State of Washington.
Key Skills & Attributes
Community-Minded: Deep awareness of and appreciation for the unique healthcare and socioeconomic needs of underserved communities.
Collaborative Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at writing concise, accurate, and timely clinical records.
Bilingual Advantage: Bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency is highly desired!
Technical Proficiency: Computer literate with ease in modern office and electronic health record systems.
Professional Standards: Full commitment to JCAHO, HIPAA, and maintaining all required CPEs, certifications, and credentials.
