Senior Administrative Assistant – R&ED
Position SummaryÂ
The Senior Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Senior Research Leadership team and the broader Research organization at Nurix Therapeutics, reporting to the Senior Executive Assistant to the CSO. This role is a critical partner in enabling leadership effectiveness — managing executive schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and supporting cross-functional operations across the department. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving research environment.Â

Key Responsibilities:Â
Executive & Leadership SupportÂ
- Manage calendar, travel, and expense needs for senior research leaders, exercising judgment to prioritize competing demandsÂ
- Anticipate leadership needs and proactively offer solutionsÂ
- Serve as trusted backup to the Sr. Executive Assistant to the CSOÂ
- Support governance and external-facing meetings (e.g., JRC/JSC) with the logistics and attention to detail they requireÂ
Meetings & EventsÂ
- Plan and execute departmental meetings, town halls, and internal eventsÂ
- Coordinate logistics for both recurring team touchpoints and larger onsite gatheringsÂ
- Ensure a well-organized, professional attendee experience across event typesÂ
Conference & Travel CoordinationÂ
- Manage group-level travel and conference planning for the Research organizationÂ
- Balance cost-effectiveness with team needs when booking and coordinatingÂ
- Serve as the central point of coordination for larger-scale or centralized travel effortsÂ
Cross-Functional PartnershipÂ
- Partner with HR, Facilities, Legal, Finance, and Talent Acquisition on shared initiativesÂ
- Support onboarding, candidate experience, and special projects touching the Research organizationÂ
- Act as a connective resource across departments to keep collaborative efforts moving smoothlyÂ
Administrative OperationsÂ
- Maintain organizational infrastructure, including distribution lists and shared resourcesÂ
- Coordinate onboarding logistics for new team membersÂ
- Keep departmental systems and records current and accessibleÂ
Communications & Stakeholder RelationshipsÂ
- Draft and coordinate internal communications on behalf of leadershipÂ
- Ensure consistent messaging and timely follow-through across teamsÂ
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and represent the leadership office with professionalism and discretionÂ
Process ImprovementÂ
- Identify opportunities to streamline administrative workflowsÂ
- Contribute to scalable processes and documentation for recurring departmental needsÂ
Core Skills & Competencies:Â
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and calendar management toolsÂ
- Experience with expense reporting and procurement systems (e.g., Concur, Expensify)Â
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interfacing at the senior leadership levelÂ
- Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential or sensitive informationÂ
- Ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities with minimal oversightÂ
Education & Experience:Â
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceÂ
- 5+ years supporting senior leaders (Director level and above), ideally in a department-wide capacityÂ
- Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharma, or another scientific/technical R&D environment strongly preferredÂ
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving biotech environmentÂ
