Job DetailsJob Location: Oglethorpe University - Atlanta, GA 30319Position Type: Full-Time StaffEducation Level: Graduate Degree PreferredJob Shift: DayJob Category: EducationOverview As a member of the Registrar’s Office team, the Associate Registrar will assist with all activities directly related to the management of a comprehensive university Registrar’s Office. The Associate Registrar for will be responsible for the effective and timely delivery of information, services, and advice related to enrollment, student records, and academic services to students, faculty, staff, and administrators. The Associate Registrar will improve academic services which drive student success with a focus on persistence, progression, graduation rates, and student satisfaction with their Oglethorpe experience.     Duties and Responsibilities Review and evaluate all current policies and practices with Registrar’s Office staff and appropriate campus stakeholders around: course registration and transfer course approval process. Inter-departmental communications especially concerning registration and commencement Maintain and process graduation applications through degree conferral Enrollment and degree reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse Course registration preparation and assisting of students with system registration issues University withdrawals and hiatus processing Transfer course process (registration approval and equivalency review processes) Develop and/or update office documentation for areas of responsibility Covering open/public office hours for drop-in and phone traffic Represent the Registrar’s Office on various campus committees as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required 2 years of experience in higher education registrar functions or related Enrollment Management higher education administration roles Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and achievement in cultivating a sense of belonging. Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse constituents (students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, etc.) Familiarity with privacy and confidentiality rules as they relate to student records Demonstrated experience and knowledge of student information systems Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite       Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution 3 years of experience in higher education registrar’s office or registration services preferred Understanding of data-based decision making and project management Previous experience with Colleague (Student Information System) by Ellucian, Informer by Entrinsik (Business Analytics Software), Pharos 360 (Student Success Management System), and Slate (Constituent Relationship Management software) by Technolutions Experience working within a liberal arts university setting or similar environment.   About Oglethorpe University Founded in 1835, Oglethorpe University is a liberal arts college that unites a close-knit campus community with the big city culture and opportunities of Atlanta, Georgia.
