About the Role:
Brookhaven Care Center LLC is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping team member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, hallways, and restrooms according to facility standards
- Perform routine dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and surface disinfection throughout the facility
- Change and replace bed linens and assist with laundry duties as needed
- Dispose of waste and manage trash removal in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Restock housekeeping supplies and report low inventory to supervisors
- Follow infection control protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly
Requirements:
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and infection control procedures
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor buffers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Compassionate and respectful demeanor when interacting with residents and staff
