Eastern Environmental Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Environmental Drilling
Manager / Geoprobe Manager to help lead and expand our environmental and geotechnical drilling
operations.
We are looking for more than an experienced equipment operator.
The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on drilling experience combined with the leadership
ability to manage crews, plan drilling projects, troubleshoot equipment. train drillers, and take
ownership of drilling operations.
This is a senior field/operations position with significant responsibility and opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities:
. Manage day-to-day environmental and geotechnical drilling operations
. Plan drilling projects including personnel, equipment, tooling, materials, and logistics
. Supervise and mentor drillers, assistant drillers, and field personnel
. Operate dralling equipment when required
. Train and develop.junior drillers into competent lead operators
. Coordinate drilling schedules with project managers and clients
. Review boring plans, sampling requirements, well construction details, and project specifications
. Maintain drilling tooling, consumables, inventory and equipment readiness
. Troubleshoot drilling equipment and field conditions
. Maintain high standards for production, workmanship, equipment care, and jobsite organization
. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HAZWOPER, DOT, utility clearance. and site-specific safety
  requirements
. Assist project managers with estimating drilling production rates, equipment requirements, and
 project costs
. Maintain accurate drilling logs. daily reports, equipment records, and field documentation
Required Technical Experience:
Candidates should have extensive experience with environmental and/or geotechnical drilling, particularly:
. Geoprobe@ drillinq equipment
. Direct-push soil and groundwater sampling
. Hollow-stem auger drilling
. Monitoring well installation
.Soil sampling
. Groundwater sampling point installation
. SPT sampling
. Well development
, Difficult drilling conditions and field troubleshooting
Qualifications:
. Approximately 8-15+ years of environmental/geotechnical drilling experience preferred
. Significant hands-on Geoprobe experience strongly preferred
. Demonstrated ability to lead drilling crews
. Strong mechanical aptitude
. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and drilling problems independently
. Understanding of environmental sampling and monitoring-well construction
. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER preferred
. CDL strongly preferred
. NYSDEC well drilling certification/license experience is a plus
. Clean driving record
