Restaurant Cashier

Job Title: Cashier 

Department: Food & Beverage

Status: Part Time

Reports To: F & B Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Greets guests and maintains professional and friendly levels of service, strives to ensure cleanliness and prompt service.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Greets, welcomes and invites our guests back.

· He/She must be knowledgeable of all the menu items including the beverages, and the ingredients and posses the ability to describe them to the guests.

· Maintain clean-as-you-go practice.

· Bus tables as needed.

· Handles all cash transactions. 

· Helps with preparation as needed.

· Prepares supplies for new shift ( fills dishes, napkin holders, mints, toothpicks, ice machine, etc.).

· Attends all meetings and/or training sessions as required.

· Informs supervisor of any guest complaints, may have them fill out a comment /suggestion card.

· Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Must posses basic math and computer skills.

· Must posses excellent customer service skills.

· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.

· Ability to work on a flexible shift schedule.

· Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

· Pre-employment drug testing with applicants receiving an offer of conditional employment.

· Must be able to obtain a Blackfeet Tribal Gaming License.

REQUIREMENT

· Experience working in food service or previous hostess experience helpful.

· Previous cash handling experience required.

· Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Good interpersonal skills required.

· Must be reliable (good attendance and punctuality), organized, flexible, and posses excellent time management skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy required. 

· Must possess a high level of integrity, and ability to maintain confidential information.
