We want you and your egg-cellent set of skills to join our community of employees, neighbors and friends in one of the various positions available.   Crack Open the Possibilities as Processing Maintenance Technician II!   Job Summary: As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Moba egg grading and packaging machines and other production equipment. Building on Maintenance Technician I skills, this role requires advanced mechanical and electrical expertise to ensure equipment efficiency and minimize downtime. You will perform and document preventive maintenance (PM), assess equipment performance, and coordinate parts procurement. Working independently and collaboratively, you will take initiative in problem-solving and skill development while demonstrating strong reliability, flexibility, and commitment to production needs.   Duties/Responsibilities:   Perform all duties of Maintenance Technician I, including routine maintenance, equipment setup, lubrication, and repairs. Start up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Moba egg grading and packaging machines and related production equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues affecting production machinery to minimize downtime. Execute and document preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards. Identify necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs, submitting purchase requests and tracking orders to ensure availability. Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of parts, tools, and supplies. Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently. Take initiative in developing technical skills to advance toward the Maintenance Technician III level. Demonstrate excellent attendance, reliability, and flexibility, including adjusting work hours as needed to support projects, cover absences, or respond to emergencies. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all company policies and industry safety regulations.   Required Skills/Abilities: This position requires the ability to adjust hours as needed to accommodate projects, cover absences, or respond to emergency maintenance issues. Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to repair a wide range of production equipment. Basic welding, fabrication, and machining skills are a plus Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices and documentation. Ability to identify necessary parts, create purchase requests, and manage inventory for ongoing maintenance needs. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Willingness to learn and advance technical skills to prepare for potential promotion to Tech III. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.   Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate’s degree in a related field is preferred). At least 3 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to operate power tools and maintenance equipment in a safe and effective manner. Experience with Moba (egg grading and packaging machine) or similar automated machinery is highly preferred. Experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment for equipment repairs. Experience identifying, ordering, and tracking parts and supplies for maintenance operations.   Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or stairs for extended periods. Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs independently; heavier loads with assistance. Work in confined spaces and at various heights as needed. Perform repetitive motions, including reaching, grasping, twisting, and fine motor tasks. Use both hands simultaneously for handling tools, performing maintenance tasks, and operating equipment with precision. Work in varied conditions (heat, cold, humidity, dust, odors, and loud noise). Visually inspect equipment, read manuals, and distinguish colors for wiring. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing/respiratory protection. Maintain focus and awareness in a fast-paced setting while following safety protocols.
