Description

Eagle Crusher is looking for a dedicated Hydraulic/Electrical Specialist to join a growing company.  Great benefits, 401k on date of hire and Medical, Dental and Vision benefits on the first of the month after hire.

  • Install hydraulic components including, hydraulic pump, cylinders, valves, relief, hoses and other associated parts
  • Build hose assemblies.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot, fix and document any problems that arise from the hydraulic and electrical installation of any component.
  • Perform start-up of hydraulic systems. Set reliefs and flows using pressure gauges and flow meters.
  • Install 12-volt wiring to PLC’s, valves, and batteries.
  • Install and connect 120-volt and 460-volt wiring on portable units.
  • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
  • Install power supply wiring on newly built machines and equipment, such as conveyors engines, 460v electric control      panels, and electric motors up to 500HP.
  • Connects power supply wires to motors and equipment on machines following manuals, schematic diagrams, and      blueprints
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning items such as motors and panel box components using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires
  • Make sure all of this is done in accordance to current prints, specifications and the specifications of the manufacturers’ components. If any discrepancies exist, it is the Hydraulic/Electrical Specialist’s responsibility to report them to the Assembly Supervisor or the Supervisors representative.
  • Performs any related duties as required or assigned to ensure efficiency of the Company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Two or more years of hands-on experience with hydraulic and electrical systems in manufacturing, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance is required.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to crawl under chassis to install hydraulic and electric components
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights as required
  • Ability to properly use shop tools, electric, and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Knowledge in the use of available lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, jib hoist, jacks, and forklifts.
  • Ability to read measuring devices – tape measures, dial indicator, level, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and instruction manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, electrical diagrams, blueprints, work instructions, bills of materials, and engineering drawings.
  •  Working knowledge of 12V/24V DC electrical systems, control circuits, and basic diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to use diagnostic and testing equipment such as multimeters, pressure gauges, flow meters, hand tools, power tools, crimpers, torque tools, and hydraulic test equipment.
  • Ability to identify and repair leaks, shorts, open circuits, damaged wiring, component failures, and incorrect installations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.
