DIE MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Education & Experience
- Associate degree with 6–10 years of related experience, or 10+ years of job-specific and related experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential and sensitive matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Access database experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license required.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the Die Maintenance team, including performance evaluations, corrective actions, and training.
- Supervise the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of stamping dies and production fixtures.
- Develop, maintain, and improve preventive maintenance programs for dies and fixtures.
- Analyze trouble reports, fatigue, wear, and failure data to identify problems and drive improvements.
- Analyze new dies and fixtures for maintainability and support new-model die/fixture trials.
- Lead continuous improvement, countermeasure planning, and implementation activities.
- Establish priorities for die/fixture maintenance and process improvements based on business needs.
- Manage service requests, maintenance logistics, equipment needs, and spare-parts inventory.
- Develop and manage the Die Maintenance budget.
- Coordinate contractors and outside vendors while maintaining strong vendor relationships and reliability.
- Order and manage global spare parts for stamping dies.
- Maintain equipment and ensure effective maintenance practices within the department.
- Support compliance with company quality and environmental systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Ensure associates receive required training based on the position training matrix.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach overhead, climb stairs, and use fine/pinch grip for extended periods.
- Work between office and manufacturing environments, including sitting, typing, and writing as well as standing and working on the manufacturing floor.
- Typical workday is 9 hours, including normal break and lunch periods.
- Some idle time between job assignments may occur.
