What a Regional Sales and Operations Manager role at ICONIX looks like:
- Execute the sales strategy for the assigned region by prioritizing sales efforts, developing customer and vendor relationships, identifying new clients and product opportunities, and ensuring the sales team capitalizes on opportunities for growth.
- Monitor regional sales performance against targets, working with Outside Sales Representatives and branch leadership to address gaps, mitigate risks, and proactively course-correct to achieve revenue and margin goals.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Branch Managers, Operations Managers, Outside Sales Representatives, and other team members, including supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and career development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and customer-focused service.
- Develop, monitor, and report on monthly and annual regional budgets and sales forecasts, providing leadership with revenue and margin projections and working with branch leadership to achieve financial targets while managing operating expenses and mitigating financial risks.
- Oversee operations across assigned branches, ensuring branch-level performance, staffing, processes, and customer service are aligned with business unit strategies, operational targets, and supply chain and business process initiatives.
- Identify operational gaps and opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, profitability, and customer service, implementing processes and procedures that drive continuous improvement across the region.
- Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure product availability, strengthen partnerships, and support regional sales and business growth.
- Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring assigned branches comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental standards, regulations, and company policies; conduct safety audits and coordinate required training to address compliance gaps.
- Partner with regional and corporate leadership and cross functional teams, including Finance, HR, Purchasing, and Business Process teams, to execute business plans, manage risk, and support the achievement of regional objectives.

Experience in the waterworks industry or a related field such as utilities, industrial distribution, underground infrastructure, or construction supply is required. Candidates should have a strong understanding of industry products, market conditions, sales practices, and customer needs, along with the ability to apply that knowledge to execute sales strategies, improve operations, manage risk, and deliver sustainable business results.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or GED required. A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales/Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 5 or more years of related industry experience, including at least three years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience leading sales and/or operations teams, preferably across multiple locations or markets.
- Experience managing and developing leaders and employees while supporting their growth and development.
- Demonstrated ability to execute sales strategies, grow revenue and margins, develop customer relationships, and identify new business and product opportunities.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial, sales, and operational performance and translate insights into action.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, sales targets, and operating expenses.
- Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, influence others, identify and mitigate business risks, and drive results across a region.
- A valid driver's license in good standing and the ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.

- Base Pay: $120,000 - $140,000+. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
