Job Brief:
Sidelines East is looking for a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager/Bartender to join our team in Milmay, NJ! This dual-role position is perfect for a hospitality professional who thrives behind the bar while also having the leadership skills to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Manage FOH bartenders and barbacks.
- Coordinate employee schedules
- Train new staff members on bar operations, drink preparation techniques, and customer service standards
- Responsible for liquor inventory
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipment
- Craft and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency according to house recipes and customer preferences
- Provide excellent customer service by creating an inviting atmosphere where each guest enjoys a memorable experience
- Ensure compliance with NJ liquor laws, responsible alcohol service (TIPS/RAS), and health & safety regulations
- Resolve guest concerns and staff issues in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years restaurant/bar management and bartending experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in staff training; help build a collaborative team environment
- Familiarity with kitchen management practices is a plus for effective communication with culinary staff
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, days, weekends and holidays as required by business needs
