Job DetailsJob Location: Buffalo, NYSalary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 HourlyJOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the assigned organization’s facilities. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Primary Responsibilities: •    Maintains sanitary conditions in and around the facility(s) •    Monitor and clean up debris outside of building •    Maintain the heating system at the facility. •    Make repairs and perform general maintenance duties such as painting, simple carpentry work, and plumbing. •    Maintain housekeeping inventory at the facility. •    Reports any serious maintenance and repair needs to supervisor. •    Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants.  •    Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs. •    Follow all safety protocol and procedures. •    Track service requests Secondary Responsibilities:  •    Must present a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire. •    Satisfactory completion of mandatory trainings. •    Additional duties as assigned.   QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: •     High School Diploma or GED required Skills and Abilities:   •    Demonstrated ability to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs. •    Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment. •    Basic arithmetic skills to take measurements and calculate material requirements for projects •    Organizational skills to maintain neat and clean maintenance and storage areas. •    Observation skills to conduct routine inspections and diagnose maintenance issues •    Strong communication and organization skills •    Time Management skills to complete all assigned service requests and additional tasks during shift. •    Strong commitment in maintaining confidentiality. •    Adhere to safety practices and procedures. •    Demonstrates good judgment and dependability. •    Basic computer skills Physical Demands: •    Requires prolonged standing and walking. •    Ability to climb, (including ladders) stoop, crawl, twist, and squat on a constant basis. •    Ability to lift 50 pounds. •    Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials. •    Required to work outside in hot, humid, or cold environments. Application Requirements: •    Physical examination record or pass physical examination by a CAO physician •    Valid NYS Driver’s License and proof of motor vehicle insurance coverage •    Completion of the following documents: o    CAO Employment application o    NYS SCR Clearance Form with acceptable clearance o    Criminal Record Certification and free of criminal convictions of crimes against children (misdemeanor or felony) o    Fingerprinting required. o    Release for Reference Checks To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
