Job Summary:
The Billing Coordinator I is responsible for accurately entering billing data, verifying information, and supporting overall billing operations in a healthcare environment. This entry-level role ensures timely and accurate processing of billing transactions and maintains clean, complete billing records. The position follows established procedures to verify data, identify basic discrepancies, and escalate issues as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
•Billing Data Entry involved which requires 10 key skills
•Compare data with source documents and enter billing information provided
•Research missing or incorrect information
•Verification of insurance information
•Ensure daily/weekly billing activities are completed accurately and timely
•Research and update billing demographic data to ensure prompt payment from insurance
•Communication through phone calls with clients and patients to resolve billing defects
•Meeting daily and weekly goals in a fast-paced/production environment
•Ensure billing transactions are processed in a timely fashion
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalant and 1 year experience in billing, data entry, administrative support, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to verify information for completeness and correctness
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-pace environment
• Ability to identify basic discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately
• Exposure to billing, healthcare, or administrative environments
• Basic familiarity with billing or data entry systems
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Working Conditions (Remote)
•This is a remote position; employees are expected to maintain a professional home office environment.
•Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate equipment (computer, headset, etc.) are required.
•Dedicated work from home workspace
•Adherence to company security and confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive data.
•Occasional extended hours may be required during peak periods or to meet deadlines.
•Must be able to work during standard business hours and attend virtual meetings as scheduled.
Pay Range:Â Â $ 17.75 - $21.00 per hour
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Shift: Mon-Fri, 9:00am - 6pm Eastern Time
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
