Position Opportunity: The position of supervisor is a very key role for production success. The supervisor must learn to manage effectively to accomplish shared goals and objectives. The supervisor will delegate responsibilities and ensure raw material orders are received properly. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Must know how to perform functions of every job on their line. Constantly check the schedule for any updates or changes on the: expiration dates, item changes, materials needed, or new products. Fill out CIP and COP paperwork in addition to checking behind their employees once these are performed and communicate with their team about the results. Obtain mechanical knowledge of the equipment used on the line through hands on interaction. Pay attention to the weekly cream load schedule. Sign in and do inspections of cream tank trucks, liquid corn, and high fructose trucks as they arrive or verify process techs have completed them correctly. Ensure employees are following GMP’s. Continually check raw materials and communicate with management when there is a shortage. Know how to perform CIP in the entire room including: cream line with hot water flushes. Understand how to read formula cards, print formulas, and create formulas. Pay attention to the pump over process set in place by QC. Check the details on the temperature chart: look for start time, pump over time, and stop time. Verify the batch paperwork, the stickers, and investigate any issues batching data entry may bring to your attention. Will be exposed to non-climate control areas (hot and cold areas) Education/Training/Certifications: High School Diploma or GED Related Experience: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred. Experience in food or beverage manufacturing is a plus. Experience with GMPs, CIP/COP, batching, raw materials, and production equipment preferred. Experience monitoring production schedules, completing production paperwork, and ensuring employees follow procedures. Knowledge/Skills Experience: Must possess basic math and computer skills, as well as good communication skills, both verbal and written. Responsible for knowing and adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions. Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and moving around the facility. Work in high noise areas and use mandatory hearing protection. Ability to complete reports and forms. Ability to stack/lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
